When in Rome... Eat Hefty Quantities of Food and Regret Nothing

For holiday break my family decided to take a trip to Italy! Not only was I excited to visit some of the most beautiful cities that I'd only ever read about in books but also for the more evident reason and that was to eat my way across the country. No offense to my Chicago or New York viewers but Italy is the OG of pizza.

Besides gaining about 20kg in less than a week I also gained an significant understanding of the importance of the catholic church, selfie-stick buskers, and “no photo” signs. Apparently the Sistine Chapel is a non-photo zone but not even a large, intimidating italian security guard was about to scare me out a sick picture. Having never been to Italy before my expectations were very high courtesy of the Lizzie McGuire movie. Although a beautiful italian superstar did not whisk me away on a Vespa, I did manage to have a wonderful time in this historical city brimming with life and a culture I'd never been exposed to before.

P.S. Just a tip to anyone out there thinking about buying a selfie stick.. DO NOT buy a selfie stick and if you already have one, do not bring it abroad or outside nevertheless because any and everyone will hate you.
