Ciao, I’m Kim! I am a junior from sunny San Diego studying Environmental Sciences and Italian at Duke University. I’m enrolled in the Food and Sustainability Studies Program in Perugia, Italy because it perfectly integrates both of my academic interests. I went into college not knowing any Italian, but after taking a summer course in Bologna (a city nicknamed “La Grassa” for its deliciously fatty foods) I knew I wanted to keep learning more Italian, and what better way to do so than by returning to Italy for a whole semester?! Although it isn’t my first time in Italy, each day is still a new adventure! Join me as I indulge into Italian culture--one forkful at a time!
