During this month off for studying, my mom and I took a two week trip to Scotland. We met in Edinburgh and spent a day there before renting a car and heading to Oban where we took a four hour wildlife cruise. It was a beautiful day for the trip and even though it was chilly, we had a great time spotting wild goats, seals, sea eagles, and deer. The next day we drove to Inverness where we dropped off the car after realizing that we were not at all capable of conquering the narrow and twisting Scottish roads. Instead, we decided to take a day trip with Rabbie’s tours to the Black Isle. It was another amazing experience where we got to see a part of Scotland through a local’s eyes, without having to drive! The next day we hopped on a bus back to Edinburgh where we booked a three day tour through Heart of Scotland Tours to see the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. It was an absolutely amazing, if not tiring, three days, but I’m so glad to have had the experience. For more details and pictures check out www.voyagingherbivore.com
