¡Bon Día! I’m currently in the beautiful city of Barcelona, the great capital of the region of Catalonia in the blessed country of Spain. I’m a San Franciscan transplant. I currently attend the University of San Francisco, with a major in Nursing and a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. I am originally from the beautiful and sunny city of Huntington Beach, located in Southern California.

At the moment, I am attending two universities in Barcelona: Arcadia University and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. I’m taking classes of Advanced Spanish, the history of Catalonia, Art and Artists, Images of Spain in Contemporary Cinema, and Spain in Transition.

I couldn’t have imagined the absolute happiness that my study abroad experience has brought me… and I’ve only been here for 3 weeks! Within my three short weeks, I have traveled to many national and cultural monuments in Barcelona and have even traveled outside of the country to London, England (I can now check “Sketchy Hostel” off of my European list of “Things-To-Do”). Next weekend is Portugal and the weekend after is Morocco.

I thought it would be a helpful idea to write my posts in both English and Spanish. I don’t know who is reading these. Feel free to follow me during my adventure in Europe!

¡Bon dia! Estoy en la bella ciudad de Barcelona, ​​la gran capital de la región de Cataluña en el país bendito de España. Soy un trasplante de San Francisco. Yo asisto a la Universidad de San Francisco, con una especialización en Enfermería y una subespecialidad en Lengua y Cultura Española. Yo soy de la ciudad hermosa y soleada de Huntington Beach en el sur de California.

Por el momento, estoy asistiendo a dos universidades en Barcelona: Universidad de Arcadia y la Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Estoy tomando clases de español avanzado, la historia de Cataluña, Arte y Artistas, Imágenes de España en el Cine Contemporáneo y España en la Transición.

Yo no podría haber imaginado la felicidad absoluta que mi programa de Intercambio me ha traído … y sólo he estado aquí por 3 semanas! Durante mis tres semanas, he viajado a muchos monumentos nacionales y culturales en Barcelona e incluso han viajado fuera del país a Londres, Inglaterra (ahora puedo cruzar “Hostel Peligroso” fuera de mi lista europea de “Las cosas-To-Do “). Próximo fin de semana es Portugal y el fin de semana después es Marruecos.

Pensé que iba a ser una idea útil para escribir mis mensajes en Inglés y Español. No sé que está leyendo esto. Siéntase libre de seguir durante mi aventura en Europa.
