The first week of classes is over! I was so nervous to start classes here as I had no idea where any of the buildings were as the university is spread out all over, but I did it! So far I love my classes! I am so excited to see what I am able to get out of each and everyone of them! Besides the classes themselves the professors seem to be wonderful! They are so friendly, caring, and opened to talking and working with students which is a major plus! Now the next step is just to do all of the required readings and projects.

Coming to school in the UK, the biggest fear I had was and still is the grading. Instead of having multiple things to be graded from, like back at Arcadia, here each class has two assignments that counts as your grade (if you are lucky). For each one of my classes I have a paper or project that is worth 30% of my final grade and an exam that's worth 70%. It is really nerve racking to think that your entire grade counts just on those two things but I know that I can do it, especially with the support of everyone here and back home!

Besides having classes I decided to join the University of Westminster Dance Society! I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to join such an amazing group of people! I have only been to two classes and I already have made friends and lasting memories. It is so nice to be able to walk in to a place as strangers and walk out as friends due to a common interest. Everyone there has a love for dance and being able to share it together is awesome!

On February 21st the dance society is competing at a dance competition in Nottingham! This is really exciting as it allows us to grow closer together and gives us something to look forward to as the weeks go by! Back at Arcadia I am the performance director for our dance club called Knight Club and not being there this semester has really made me sad even though they are doing a wonderful job! I am just so happy that I was able to find a group just like Knight Club where everyone shares their passion for dance and we can become a family!
