Alycia Parker
Arcadia in Granada, Spain
¡Bienvenidos! My name is Alycia. I’m a junior at Duke University, double majoring in Political Science and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I am so excited to be spending this semester in Granada! I chose to study here because of the Arab historical elements of the city, the opportunity to visit Morocco with the program, and the close proximity to many of the European cities on my travel bucket list. Travelling is one of my favorite things-- I’ve visited Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on different trips with my university. I love reflecting on the lived experience in other places and comparing these political contexts to that of the United States. On my blog, you’ll read about my growth in adapting to the culture in Spain, my triumphs and difficulties, but mostly about the fun experiences I have. Thanks for joining me!
