The Other Mary: 23-31 May, Stirling Castle

An exhibition dedicated to 'the other Mary', Mary of Guise, marking 500 years since her birth

An Evening with Dougal Graham: 22 May, Stirling Art Gallery and Museum, 7:30pm

Theatre, readings and music from locals.

The Queen's Feast: 23 and 24 May, Stirling Castle, 12-4pm

Mary of Guise is dining with some of her lords and ladies – you can visit the cooks to see what they're whipping up, and meet the courtiers and they anxiously wait to see them. Plus, there's entertainment from musicians, jesters and dancers.

Stirling Literary Society in Late 19th Century New Zealand: 18 May, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, 7:30pm

Kathleen O'Donnell speaks about the Stirling Literary Society of late 19th century New Zealand. Part of Stirling Literary Society's 25th anniversary series of lectures. Preceded by a short AGM.

Weaving the Unicorn: Throughout May, Stirling Castle

Hand-woven tapestry, Hunt of the Unicorn, a series of seven reimagined medieval tapestries.

McKenzie Sawers Duo: 2 May, Tolbooth, 2:30pm

The pair from Edinburgh embraces jazz, classical, world and folk with their saxophone and piano.

Stirling Orchestra: 10 May, Albert Halls, 7:30pm

An orchestra made up of mostly amateur musicians from Stirling University and the local area who perform several concerts a year.

Benny Gallagher: 9 and 10 May, Stirling County Rugby Club

A songwriter of sheer class whose songs have been covered by Bryan Ferry, Don Williams, Garth Brooks, Phil Everly and Simon & Garfunkel.

52 Shades of Maggie: 21 May, Albert Halls, 7:30pm

The sequel to 51 Shades of Maggie follows Maggie Muff and her pal Sally-Ann as they try to organise a party in the pub. Will things go as planned? What do you think?

Gavin Marwick's Journeyman Spectacular: 30 May, Tolbooth, 8pm

A celebration of 30 years of songwriting and performing as Old Blind Dogs, Aaron Jones & Claire Mann, Bellevue Rendezvous, and Up In the Air join one of Scotland's most prominent fiddlers.
