Bannockburn 2014: Remember Bannockburn!: Throughout the End of July, Smith Art Gallery and Museum

To mark the 700th anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn this exhibition looks back at the history of the battle site, the Bannockburn community, the impact of the battle on the Scottish nation and how it has been represented in visual art over the years.

Music, Comedy and Dance

National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland: 19 July, Tolbooth, 8pm

Malcolm Edmonstone and Andrew Bain direct the popular young musicians in a programme featuring jazz classics as well as new compositions and arrangements.

Scottish Chamber Orchestra: 30 July, Stirling Castle, 8pm

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is recognized as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world and tours extensively in Scotland as well as internationally.

Summer Ceilidh: 23 July, Tolbooth, 8pm

Grab your partner and have a good old birl around the dance floor with help from the caller and professional ceilidh band.
