Medieval Meander: 21 June, The Scores, 2pm

Tour of Medieval St Andrews with Chera Cole, a Medieval Literature PhD student

Ellis O'Connor: Spirit of the Place--the Highlands and Islands of Scotland: Throughout the End of June, Discovery Point

Drawings, prints and photographs of the landscapes and coastlines of the Scottish highlands and islands, focusing on line, texture and tone.

Music, Comedy and Dance

Elaine C Smith: Still Standing...Just: 21 June, Byre Theatre, 7.30pm

Enjoy an evening in the company of one of Scotland's leading actresses and comedy performers, including the chance to ask her your own questions. Booking is essential.

Albert Herring: 16-17 June, Byre Theatre, 7.30pm

Benjamin Britten’s operatic comedy.

Graduation Concert: 25 June, St Salvator's Chapel, 5.30pm

English Cathedral Music 1650-1800 – music for choir, organ and strings by Purcell, Humfrey, Boyce, Jackson and others.

Claire and Fergus McNicol: Isle of May: 28 June, Crail Community Hall, 1.30pm

Claire and Fergus McNicol tell stories of the seabirds and sea magic on the Isle of May.

Commonwealth Ceilidh: 27 June, City Square

Celebrate the Queen's Baton Relay arriving in Dundee by joining the Commonwealth Ceilidh in the City Square. The aim is to get the whole city dancing.

The City Square starts its transformation into a massive dance floor at 3pm, when dancers from Dundee-based groups including Smallpetitklein, Scottish Dance Theater, Bharatiya Ashram, Fledgling Dance Company and more start their performances.

The main Ceilidh springs into action at 5.30pm when Whiskey Kiss takes to the stage. A Commonwealth Song and Choir performance takes place before the town welcomes the Queen's Baton Relay.

East Neuk Festival: Beginning 27 June, Various Venues

World-class, critically-acclaimed music, art and literature converge on this corner of Fife. Though chamber music remains at the heart of the programme, the festival's most varied selection yet includes musical surprises, international authors and imaginative art-works, all located in quirky venues. 2014 includes Julian Bliss, Martin Taylor, Belcea Quartet, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Scottish premiere of James MacMillan's Piano Trio No 2.

Ceres Highland Games: 28 June, The Bow Butts

Traditional 'free' games which have been taking place since 1314, with races, including Highland dancing and pipe bands in a superb old-world village setting. Look out for the tasty Ceres burgers too!
