A master of contemporary and traditional folk songs, Davies has performed all over the world and tonight he celebrates his 30 year career with special guests the GAMA Chorus.

Scottish Ensemble: Love and War in Bohemia: 22 February, Caird Hall, Dundee, 7.30pm

Works from Bohemian composers – no, not heavily tattooed humanities graduates with barista experience, but composers from the region of Bohemia. Pavel Haas' Study for String Orchestra, Dvořák's Love Songs (arr. Matthews), selected arias from Handel (yes, part of Bohemia was German speaking), Biber's Battalia and Suk's Serenade for Strings in E flat major. Featuring guest soloist, the much-praised mezzo-soprano Sophie Harmsen.
