Witches and Martyrs of St Andrews: 1 July, Starts at the Martyrs Monumen, 11am

The tour transports you to the most tumultuous periods when persecution and torture resulted in horrific death – follow in the footsteps of the women accrued of witchcraft and men whose names live on because of the gruesome circumstances surrounding their persecution, torture and eventual death.

Maiden Rock Geology Walk: 5 July, MUSA, 2.30pm

Discover more about the rocks under your feet and what they can tell us about the ancient environments of St Andrews – short guided walk with Tony Wilson. Please wear walking shoes and suitable clothing for the weather. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Bruce Tour, The Legend and the Man: 6 July, St Andrews Castle, 12pm

Join Robert I in St Andrews as he gives thanks for the birth of a son and heir, who will cement the Bruces as Kings of Scotland, and talks about his life, his successes and his failures, his regrets, his loves and losses.

Recital of Ancient Harp Music: An Tarbh: Ranald and bull: 2 July, 12:45pm

Played by Simon Chadwick on the replica Queen Mary harp – ‘Pibroch’ music for the harp, composed by one of the last of the old Scottish Harpers about three hundred years ago, with associated stories and anecdotes about the tunes – “An tarbh breac dearg, an tarbh a mharbh me...” (the red speckled bull, the bull that did for me...).

Clean slapstick theater comedy on stage for all the family. Hilarious comic sketches, juggling, balancing, stilt walking, comedy musical car, stage participation and lots of prizes – in aid of CLIC Sargent
