Ian Hamilton Finlay: Throughout the End of February, Gallery of Modern Art

A major exhibition of prints, cards, booklets and sculpture by poet and visual artist Ian Hamilton Finlay (1925–2006), one of the most remarkable Scottish artists of the 20th century, who weaved together themes from classical culture, European history and modern warfare.

Matthew Bourne's modern re-interpretation of Swan Lake, replacing the traditional female corps de ballet with a menacing male ensemble.

Ceilidh night in aid of The Saint Andrew’s In The Square Trust with proceeds going towards the upkeep of this 18th Century building.

BBC SSO: Osborne Plays Beethoven: 27 February, City Halls, 7.30pm

Copland's Quiet City features Mark O'Keeffe and James Horan on trumpet and cor anglais respectively; then Steven Osborne is the soloist for Beethoven's good-humored Piano Concerto No 2. Finally, Schumann's fate-defying Symphony No 2. Andrew Manze conducts.
