Ingenious Impressions: The Coming of the Book: Throughout May, Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery
The first major UK exhibition to explore the history of the printed book, this features treasures from the University of Glasgow collection and focuses on themes such as the transition from vellum to paper, the identity and role of the first printers, the content of the earliest printed books and book ownership and collecting.

Great Big Museum Bus Tour: 16 May, Various locations and times
Just when you think you haven't been to a museum for a while, three (well, five!) come along at once! This fantastic hop-on, hop-off bus tour is the ideal way to enjoy some of the best museums in the city - just relax and leave it all to your own personal chauffeur! Each museum will be showcasing a different traditional craft with inspiring practical demonstrations and lots of opportunities to try them out for yourself! At the Gallery of Modern Art, our contemporary artists will show you how traditional skills can be used in new and surprising ways. Then, having whet your creative appetite, you can get find out what those other arty folk are up to at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Scotland Street School Museum, Riverside Museum and Gallery of Modern Art. Next stop, driver!

The Big Glasgow Comic Page presents a day of assorted geekery complete with 17 vendors selling back issues, graphic novels, original art, fan art, toys, t-shirts, jewellery, crafts, cupcakes and loads more. Cosplay/fancy dress encouraged with a competition for under and over 16s.
