Old Times: An Evening of Harold Pinter

An evening on the influential playwright Harold Pinter, featuring a full-length play and a talk on the techniques he deployed in his work.

Blazin' Fiddles

On fiery form, these contemporary fiddle players from the Highlands and Islands mix solo and ensemble sets to create a unique blend of energy and sensitivity.

Dreamboats and Miniskirts

18-22 August, His Majesty's Theatre, Times to be announced

Musical sequel to Dreamboats And Petticoats written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, which follows an aspiring vocal duo, who must adapt their style to succeed during the advent of the Beatles and the Mersey sound. Featuring the hits 'Twist & Shout', 'Handy Man', 'Pretty Woman' and 'One Fine Day'.

Aberdeen Parkrun

Saturdays, Beach Esplanade, 9:30am

An informal weekly 5k run along the Beach Esplanade. Everyone is welcome, no matter how fast or slow (you're welcome to walk the route, bring your dog or push a buggy), so you can use it as a one-off fitness test, a chance to get some fresh air or come every week to try to beat your personal best time.
