Orientation is a busy time in the Arcadia Ireland calendar, however there is some free time for the students to explore Dublin. The Arcadia Dublin Center is situated in the heart of Dublin City, close to major attractions. We have picked three top sites to see all within a stones throw from the Arcadia Center!

Christ Church CATHEDRAL

No exaggeration, this stunning Cathedral is directly across the street from the Arcadia Dublin Center! Founded by the Vikings over 1,000 years ago, Christ Church Cathedral is one of Ireland's oldest buildings. Renowned for its beauty and dramatic architecture, Christ Church is a must see when visiting Dublin.  It is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 7pm, student tickets cost €4.50

Dublin Castle

Dublin gets its name from the 'Dubh Linn' meaning black pool, originally behind the Castle. The pool is long gone, replaced by the gardens of the Chester Beatty Library.  Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.45pm, the Chester Beatty Library, Revenue Museum and the grounds are free. State Apartments and Chapel Royal are assessable by guided tour only.  Student rate for tour tickets is €5.50

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Built in honour of Ireland’s patron saint between 1220 and 1260, St. Patrick's Cathedral is the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland and is the largest Cathedral in the country. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5pm and Saturdays 9am – 6pm.  Student tickets cost €3.90

Happy exploring!
