We have had quite a hard spring here in Ireland. There has been lots of grey days, some snow days and way too many rainy days. While it does get us in a bit of a slump, it also does one very positive thing- it gets us very very excited for summer!! We are convinced here that we are definitely due some good weather so we have come up with some brilliant events to enjoy during these brighter months.

Culture Night, Riverdance.

We need to start with a classic here. The theatre is a much-loved tradition in Ireland, and what better way to start your adventure than to join us for one of Ireland’s most famous shows, in one of our oldest theatres. Our night will start with a three-course meal in one of Dublin’s gorgeous restaurants after which we will make the short walk to the Gaiety Theatre. Riverdance is fascinating and not one to miss. See it in its hometown of Dublin with Arcadia.

Galway and The Cliffs of Moher.

Setting off from Dublin we will make our way west to one of Ireland’s most culturally rich cities- Galway. When we arrive we will get a walking tour of the beautiful old city and hear about the history of such a captivating place. You will then be free to explore the small streets, incredible food, and world-renowned traditional music scene.

The following day we will go to the Cliffs of Moher, aka the ‘Cliffs of Insanity’, located on the west coast of Ireland.  The Cliffs of Moher are one of the most outstanding coastal features of Ireland and are located in County Clare on the Burren’s edge. Rising slowly from Doolin they ascend to over 700 feet (213 meters) stretching south for nearly five miles (8km) to Hags head. The breath-taking views are not to be missed. Private transportation for the whole weekend and one night stay are included in this excursion.

Culture Night, The Snapper.

So, we have started with a well-known show, but I’m here to introduce you to a lesser known Irish cult classic. The Snapper is by the famous author and playwright Roddy Doyle. Making its theatre debut at The Gate theatre, this is one not to be missed. The layout will be similar to the evening at Riverdance, but that is where the similarities cease. The Snapper is about a young girl who gets pregnant out of wedlock. In a devout Roman Catholic household in Ireland in the 90s, this is not a very popular thing to happen. What comes next is some tears and lots of laughter. This is the most Irish thing you can see when you’re in Ireland and we can’t wait to bring you along.

Game of Thrones meets The Giant’s Causeway.

There is no doubt that if you Google things to do in Northern Ireland The Giant’s Causeway is one of the first to appear. Join us on our private tour and get a chance to see the Causeway and learn the history of a war-torn nation while taking in some stunning scenery. This doesn’t sound like enough? No problem! Fan of Jon Snow? Game of Thrones Season 8 has been filming in Northern Ireland all through the spring of 2018 and we want to take you as close to the action as possible. On this excursion, we will also be visiting some very famous filming locations from the HBO series. See the Dark Hedges (a.k.a King’s Road) before getting to visit the Iron Islands to name a few. A jam-packed day, use it to take the chance to see a snippet of Northern Ireland’s best-bits on this one day tour.
