We’ve all heard of U2 and Sinead O’Connor, but what about the Irish musicians of 2016? We have put together a list of four great Irish musical acts to help get you in the mood for study abroad in Ireland.

Mick Flannery

This Cork man is an incredible lyricist, with some of the most beautiful songs going.  Excellent live, Mick Flannery plays regularly all over Ireland in smaller venues, and the atmosphere is magical. You can listen here

Saint Sister

Something a little different, these ladies have amazing talent. Still a little less known, they recently released their debut EP and are playing lots of festivals this summer. This song 'Castles' is really beautiful.

Lisa Hannigan

Lisa Hannigan is a very special Irish artist.  Beginning as part of a duet, Lisa went solo in 2007 and has since released two hugely successful albums, ‘Sew Saw' and ‘Passenger’. Listening to her is a truly wonderful experience.

Hozier

Andrew Hozier-Byrne sprung to international fame two years ago with ‘Take me to Church’. Aside from being an incredible musician he is known for how humble and down to earth he is. His new song ‘Better Love’ for the Tarzan movie is absolutely stunning!
