The Semester isn't over just yet but tomorrow we will have our second last co-curricular event of the Spring in Kinsale County Cork. Students from Galway, Limerick and Cork will join their lovely guide Manuela for an evening of history, food and culture! Manuela Kovacevic is a student from Croatia who is completing her Academic Year long Internship at the UCC International Office! She has been living in and experiencing all that Cork has to offer since last Summer and we are so lucky that she was able to step out of her own busy schedule to accompany our students on their adventure to the beautiful, quaint and often known as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland!

Leaving Cork City early evening, they will take the short 40-minute journey to Kinsale where they will meet their very knowledgeable local guide, Dermot Ryan. Dermot was rated the best guide in Ireland by the Irish Independant and is the top independent attraction in Kinsale on Tripadvisor. He is an approved Failte Ireland guide and is the only Kinsale guide with University qualifications in history (BA in archaeology and MA in History). Are we lucky or what?!

After our exploration through one of Ireland's hidden gems, we look forward to a 3 course meal in one of Kinsale's finest restaurants, Dinos! Dino’s is a Cork tradition since 1970. As a family run business, they serve only the best homemade chips, fresh fish, crispy chicken, traditional battered foods and of course their famous KING DINO burger! Our students will eat only the best though and we will offer them the full "fancy restaurant" menu as a way to sample the finest cuisine in the Gourmet Capital!

Hungry anyone?
