This week, 50 years ago, Experiment in International Living (EIL) brought its first group of  students to Ireland to experience the emerald isle's culture and way of living.

EIL is the oldest exchange programme organization in the world and Arcadia University Dublin works with them to provide students coming to Ireland with the opportunity to partake in a homestay.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the first exchange programme Jo-Anne Higgins, current coordinator of the EIL Travel Awards, took a trip down memory lane and found some pictures that were taken on the very first trip back in 1964.
