We speak English…mostly

We do speak English, albeit with a few of our own words thrown in. Students coming to Ireland can also pick up a few words of Gaelige (Irish) along with a few local colloquialisms such as ‘craic’, ‘gas’ and of course everything being ‘grand’.

Great Food

There has been a serious food revolution in Ireland in past twenty years and we are all the better for it! Coastal Galway is famous for its seafood, while Dublin boasts hundreds of fantastic restaurants with unending variety. Cork is the food capital, and our University College Cork students enjoy a Cork Food Trail as part of their Co-Curricular program.

The beautiful countryside

No matter where you go you are guaranteed green! From the Cliffs of Moher, to the Aran Islands and the Giants Causeway, the Irish coastline is spectacular. Throughout the Islands the scenery is unreal, it’s no wonder TV shows like Game of Thrones and Vikings choose to film here.

The Universities

Stunning campuses, excellent student services and amenities; Irish Colleges are very welcoming to study abroad students, and they all have something great to offer! From high ranking Universities such as University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin and Queens University Belfast, to the University of Limerick and NUI Galway with their excellent sports facilities, there is a fantastic study abroad experience waiting for every student.

The People

Irish people are known for their fun and friendly attitude are generally very helpful and love chatting to new people. Even recently at the 2016 Euro Soccer Championships the Irish fans got loads of media attention for how lovely and good fun they were. We really are very nice people!
