This weekend we had the pleasure to receive some students from the Spring program 2019 of Granada and Toledo!!

With the great activities that we have organized the students were able to spend a whole weekend in our city learing a lot and also having free time to explore Barcelona by their own =)

On Friday, the students visited our Barcelona center and met all the Arcadia stuff. Jaume Gelabert, the Director of the Spain and Cuba programs, was in charge of a lecture about The Roots of Nationalism in Catalonia.

After that, they enjoyed a Catalan light lunch at the Arcadia Center and with a full belly we met our tour guide that took us to the Gothic Quarter and explained the origin of the city and the medieval times.

On Saturday, we had our second tour where the students were able to see and learn about the Modernist Architecture that is really important in the city! We ended the tour with the master piece of the Modernist in the city built by Gaudí; La Sagrada Familia, where the students decided to explore it by their own.

The last day was really fun!! There is no better way to know Barcelona than with bike! With this tour the students enjoyed the beautiful beach of Barcelona, the harbour and some parks. After 3 hours of exercise! they tasted a typical catalán lunch in a restaurant and had a toast to say goodbye to this short but great experience!
