Last Friday we went to Tibidabo Hill with our spring 2020 students! It is one of the best places in the city to see the spectacular views of Barcelona. This mountain is the highest point in the city, that’s why it is a very popular sightseeing spot.

At the summit of the mountain, you’ll find the Sagrat Cor church and Tibidabo Amusement Park. Also, from there, you can reach to The Torre de Collserola telecommunications by doing a short walk. These 3 points are prominently visible from most of the city of Barcelona.

In order to get there, we took the Tibidabo Funicular, which was the first of its kind in Spain!

Some quick info about what they've seen!

Tibidabo Amusement Park: The only amusement park in Barcelona, and one of the oldest in Europe, this attraction has over 100 years of history!

Expiatory Church of the Sacred Heart: Designed by Enric Sagnier, the church took 60 years to construct and is topped by a sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Josep Miret Llopart. They reached the rooftop through a lift for even better views of Barcelona =)

The Collserola Park & Tower: Built for the 1992 Summer Olympics, the futuristic looking structure was designed to unite all the communication requirements for the city in anticipation for the games.
