We visited Sitges with our Fall 2018 students!

This popular coastal town remained as beautiful as always! We had such a great time walking through the historical streets of Sitges and enjoyed the good weather, that this town is known for. One of the perks of being located in the Garraf area, between the Garraf Massif and the Mediterranean Sea is that the weather in Sitges is usually mild and sunny. Thanks to that, we could enjoy such nice weather during the tour and relax at the beach afterwards.

There’s a lot you can do in Sitges: you can go to the urban beaches, walk along the seafront, discover the numerous and diverse shops in the town center, go for a walk in the old town, visit the Maricel or Cau Ferrat Museums, have some tapas or seafood enjoying the breeze and the good views of the sea, practice water sports, and more!

Other than that, if you happen to be near Sitges between October 5th and 14th and have the chance to visit it, you will also have the opportunity to see this town at one of its peaks: The Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya (the Sitges’ International Film Festival). If you like cinema, and especially the fantastic cinema kind, this is your festival!

Another crazy thing on this festival is the Sitges Zombie Walk which is more than a thousand people disguised as zombies and walking through the streets of Sitges. The Zombie Walk took place on Saturday October 6th at 6 pm starting from the Sitges Town Hall.

The Fantastic Film festival started on Thursday, October 4th, and lasts until, October 14th.
A zombie walk, lots of fantastic cinema movies, awards, famous stars and directors, fantastic cinema masterclasses, screenings, exhibitions, a unique atmosphere… You will find this and much more in Sitges this Fantastic Film Festival!

You can check the official website to take a peek at all the events and the ticket prices.
