Last Friday we went to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Penedès in Catalonia and the centre of production of a sparkling wine known as Cava!

We had the chance to visit the Cava Solà Raventós, a small and familiar company , where they make a small production of about 20,000 bottles. The cellar is managed by  a micro-production of 2 people!

Already in 1898 Solà Raventós was dedicated to the elaboration of wines and it was in 1925 when the first bottles of cava were made. Since 1987 until nowadays, it has become a familiar project where the dream of making cava with passion and love came true!

In our visit we had the chance to know how they make Cava;  the different stages of the production process,  the machinery the use, the techniques, the dedication and the passion!

They have a variety of cavas and we had the chance to taste them all and learn the differences between each one!
