For students joining us in the Summer, we are very excited to announce our events that will be on offer to you!

We’ve been working hard to select some of the best experiences that we think will be a great introduction to your new home in the UK, from action-packed adventure weekends to theatre trips and city breaks!

Read on below for what we have in store. Event registration opens Wednesday, 8 May at 12 noon (EST) in your Arcadia Passport. And, don’t forget, if an event is full you can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified automatically if more space becomes available.

Please note that all events depart from the Arcadia London Center unless stated otherwise. Students studying outside of London who intend to travel independently may submit a request for reimbursement of their travel up to £75. However this is not guaranteed as it is subject to group travel bookings in advance of the event.

Windsor Castle Day Trip

This Summer we will visit Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world! It was originally built to protect London, but now it is Queen Elizabeth’s weekend home and is often used for royal functions. The most recent notable royal function being the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry! Join us on this visit to marvel at the architecture, and to explore the royal history within.
Price includes: Return train journey from London, entry to Windsor Castle.

Westminster Abbey Tour

Total Immersion, Tradition & Innovation, Sensory

Join us for a guided tour of one of London’s most iconic landmarks. Westminster Abbey is a UNESCO world heritage site, and has witnessed the coronations of every monarch since William the Conqueror in 1066. It is also where Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot! Please note this event occurs on a Friday afternoon. It is your responsibility to check for any academic clashes.
Price includes: Entry to Westminster Abbey, guided tour of the Abbey and surrounding area.

Wales Adventure Weekend

Sensory, Total Immersion, Tribes

This adventure weekend is full of outdoor and water activities such as coasteering, kayaking and surfing! You will also have the chance to visit the town of St. Davids or Pembroke Castle. Please note this event departs on a Friday afternoon, it is your responsibility to check for academic clashes.
Price includes: Round trip travel by train from London, two nights accommodation, all meals and all activities.

Bath and Stonehenge Day Trip

On this day trip, our first stop will be Bath, a beautiful and historic city dating back to the Roman times later made famous by resident Jane Austen. In the afternoon, we will be visiting Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which has stood for thousands of years.
Price includes: Round trip travel by coach from London, walking tour around Bath, and entrance to Stonehenge.

Churchill's Cabinet War Rooms

This museum comprises the Cabinet War Rooms, a historic underground complex that was home to government command centre during the Second World War. You can also see the Churchill Museum, a museum exploring the life of the then Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. Please note this event departs on a Monday afternoon, it is your responsibility to check for academic clashes.
Price includes: Entry to the Churchill Cabinet War Rooms.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Globe

Sensory, Tradition & Innovation, Tribes

For all literature and theatre buffs, what could be better than getting to see one of The Bard’s most notable plays? The Globe theatre that stands today is a replica of the seventeenth century original building, meaning you will have as authentic an experience as possible! Please note that these tickets are for the standing section of the theatre.
Price includes: Ticket to play.

Edinburgh Weekend

Join us as we escape London for the weekend and make our way to Edinburgh. There is plenty of history to soak in, different foods, new accents, and voted as one of the best cities to visit for five years running, you’re bound to have a great time! Please note this event departs on a Friday afternoon, it is your responsibility to check for academic clashes. 
Price includes: Return ticket from London to Edinburgh, accommodation, breakfast, entry to Edinburgh Castle, and a walking tour around the city.

Jack the Ripper walking tour

Life & Death, Sensory

Jack the Ripper is arguably one of Britain’s most famous figures, remembered for the havoc he wrought across the east-end of London at the end of the nineteenth century. Join us on this evening walking tour to retrace the steps of this notorious killer, learn about the history of the area, and realise the significance these events had for years to come.
Price includes: Walking tour.
