With Edinburgh being one of the most stunning cities in the world, the Arcadia ran trip sold out very quickly. Last weekend, the time had finally come for 3 London staff and 50 students to jump on a train to Edinburgh.

The group arrived at the hostel Friday evening, excited for the weekend ahead. The hostel staff were very welcoming and the group were settled into the area in no time. The group had a walking tour to start Saturday, which was very useful to get our bearing and also fascinating. There are plenty of stories to be told of Edinburgh with it being steeped in history.

After battling the wind, the castle at the top of the hill was one of many highlights of the trip. As it towers above the city, it not only looks picturesque but menacing.  The inside of the castle was as interesting as the city it's within. Historic artifacts, explanations of what periods the castle had seen and defeated.

The students had a great time in the windy city. Here are a few of their comments.

'I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour and the information was great'

'Edinburgh Castle was beautiful! Being in a such an old and magnificent building was really exciting and I enjoyed walking through their exhibits and seeing the Crown Jewels.'

'The walking tour was great - we had an awesome tour guide who really knew what she was talking about and was eager to answer any of our questions.'

The trip was great fun, with history around every corner you turn. Edinburgh is a truly amazing city.
