Budgeting may not be the most thrilling of subjects but it sure is important. When you come to a new country it is safe to say you will be spending more money. You will buy that over priced coffee because you're unsure were the equivalent of Dunken Donuts is. But do not fear, we have a few websites to help you budget your money throughout the semester.

Money Saving Expert

This website is a one-stop shop for savings on grocery shopping, trains, flights, travel insurance etc. Sign up for the “Martin’s Money Tips” email and you’ll never miss out on bargains!

Voucher Codes

This website provides voucher codes and printable vouchers for savings at restaurants and retail outlets such as Pizza Express, Café Rouge, Marks & Spencer and The Body Shop. Save up to 40% on purchases!

Budget Airlines

This one is a bit of a cheat :-). Easyjet is a budget airline that offers incredibly good deals on flights to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ryanair is similarly cheap, but more stringent with regard to travel restrictions (e.g. size of carry-on). Both Kayak and Opodo are flight comparison sites that trawl the internet for the best travel deals, so you don’t have to!

Living Social

You may already use Living Social at home. Visit this site to enjoy products and services that are reduced in price because large numbers of people are purchasing them. For the fitness fanatics among you, this site offers a cost-effective way to purchase yoga, spin and other classes without committing to a gym membership.

Groupon

Groupon operates in the same fashion as Living Social. It’s a great way to get a shellac manicure without shelling out. See what we did there :-)?
