All year round the Arcadia study abroad staff at the London Center work hard to make your time here in our big city as memorable as possible.
To give you an idea of what goes on behind the scenes we have caught up with our own Gabby Genus to talk Arcadia, work and what she does to relax after work.
Gabby has recently completed a degree in Sociology and International Development at the University of Sussex which she really enjoyed. She has always enjoyed being within educational settings and prior to coming to Arcadia, worked as a literacy teaching assistant.
At the center Gabby is responsible for answering academic queries and coordinating academic issues and operations. She enjoys interacting with you, the London Centre students and solving your academic issues. Gabby is a key part of the London team and contributes a great deal to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the place, which is one of the reasons why Gabby enjoys working for Arcadia.
Another reason why Gabby enjoys working at the center is it's central location as it gives her an opportunity to easily visit museums, galleries and her beloved Spanish classes. One of Gabby's favorite museums is the British Museum, with it only being around the corner from the Center you can regularly find Gabby perusing an exhibition or two.
Gabby's top tip for making the most of London is to buy the Time Out magazine as it gives a great break down of everything going on in London. She goes on to say 'if you don't buy it, you will miss out on so much'. You have been warned.
Gabby is available to help you with your academic issues from 9:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday so pop into the center if you have any problems, she is always happy to assist you.
