Arcadia clubs are curated and led by Arcadia staff and give you an opportunity to engage with the local culture. While all of our students will have access to a number of clubs and societies, either through one of our partner institutions or through Student Central, we also offer our own. Do any of the below interest you? If so, be sure to express your interest and ask any questions that you may have during orientation. 

Free London

With budgeting in mind, one of the clubs for the summer semester is Free London. It does what it says on the tin. London's free activities are endless, from museums and open galleries to sports events and film screenings. Our very own Kimberley Aparisio leads this project, and will reveal a Free London event every Monday.

Talk Sport

A list of clubs and societies would not be complete without some kind of sport. Phil Cable is here to cater to all of your sporting needs...sort of. This club does not play sports, rather it discusses them! 

Talk Sport is split into two parts.

1. The club will meet every Tuesday and alternate between the London Center and a nearby pub. Each week,  the society will discuss and debate about what is currently going on in UK sport - often highlighting differences within sport culture between the UK and the US. 
2. The second part is 'Challenge Phil'. Once a week Phil will send out a list of selected fixtures for the coming week. You can then pit your wits against Phil by guessing the results. Each week there will be points won depending on how many results you guess correctly and throughout the semester there will be a league table. Challenge Phil takes place online, so you can get involved wherever you are in the country - as long as you have joined the facebook group! And why wouldn't you get involved when there is a prize to be won...

Creative Writing

Natalie Crown has published two novels and she is looking forward to talking all things books with you. This is not an academic workshop. Is it intended as some fun for all book lovers out there. Whether you are already a writer, or if you simply fancy trying it out - this group is for you. Even if you don't want to write, you can still come along to discuss ideas or to talk about what makes your favourite books so great.

Each week will be loosely structured, but the idea is that there are no constraints to your imagination. This group will meet weekly at 1pm on Thursdays.

Weekly themes will vary from POV, dialogue, genre, character and more. And of course, all members can take away a free copy of The Wolf's Cry if they so wish.

GREEN CLUB

Want some greenery in your scenery? Need some flower power? Can't see the wood for the trees? 

London is a very green city with almost half being park land or green space. Come join us as we discover some secret, and not so secret, green gems and enjoy some wildlife in the heart of London's wild life.
