We have some great events for November! Check out the details below and stay up-to-date through our Facebook group.

Coppelia Ballet

Coppélia, a mechanical doll made by the toy-maker Dr. Coppelius, is so life-like that some believe she is his daughter. Franz, a village swain, becomes infatuated with it and sets aside his true heart’s desire, Swanhilde. Swanhilde, upset by the attitude of Franz, dresses up in Coppelia’s clothes, pretending that the doll has come to life and ultimately saving Franz from an untimely end at the hands of the diabolic inventor of the doll. This 19th century classic in an enchanting production by the Rome theatre ballet and choreographer Roland Petit.

St Peter’s Dome

This is a great opportunity to see the Pope. He will appear from the window of his apartment where he gives a short speech followed by the Angelus and ending with a blessing. We’ll also visit the Cupola, after climbing the 320 steps to the top.
The frescoes up close are stunning!

Visit of Roman Domus Palazzo Valentini

Let’s explore “Ancient Rome” through a recent discovery, an excavation of archeological remains of ancient Roman houses.
Descending below Palazzo Valentini, which has been the seat of the Province of Rome since 1873, is like walking into another world. Not only are the villas luxurious and well preserved, still retaining their beautiful mosaics, inlaid marble floors, and staircases, but the ruins have been made to "come alive" through multimedia. Sophisticated light shows re-create what it all would have looked like while a dramatic, automated voiceover accompanies you as you walk through the rooms. You will be fascinated by the results of the restoration!

Olives Harvest

This is the time of the year when we do Olive harvesting with the Orsini family in Passignano (near Perugia). Starting this Fall the activity is open, not only to our Perugia students but also to the Rome and the Florence students. In case of bad weather, students can take part in other activities like peeling and cleaning the cobs, making homemade pasta and making wicker basket. All Students will be part of the Orsini family for these days, so they will help them in all the activities they normally run.

This Arcadia volunteer opportunity would afford our program students a CLC “Co-Curricular Learning Certificate” which will be issued alongside their transcript.

AS Roma vs Atalanta

A.S. Roma is the most important soccer team of Rome. It has more than 2 millions supporters in Italy and its most representative player is Francesco Totti. We will attend AS Roma VS Atalanta game at the Olympic stadium of Rome. It is an incredible experience, whether you are an A.S. Roma supporter or not. Its supporters are super hot and funny.
