Interning Road Map

Interning is like reading a Road Map - you're own personal road map.

Imagine holding it (maps or old school paper, doesn't matter) close to your face, squinting from short-range vision to long range vision, continuing to drive; 'Do I go left? Do I veer right? Man! I need to U-turn!' ... an endless transition of clarity and confusion, of 'knowing' and ...being lost!

The Summer Interns 2018 drove straight into 32 workplace positions in Sydney that had some of them at large banks, medium-sized skin-care businesses and home-offices of professional people. Drug addiction, alzheimer's, homelessness and Indigenous Art signposted the way for some, whilst others veered into fashion, law offices and stand-up paddle boarding environments. Some braked at refugees or prisoners, some went off-road into grasslands, whilst some held firm on issues such as Women IN the workplace, and Rights of workers AT the workplace.

All stayed focused. All reached a place.

Self-driving cars lack the human element of knowing and being lost. The internship program is driven by it.
