QUEENSLAND EXCURSIONS FALL 2024

Bond University, Griffith University, QUT and University of Queensland (BRISBANE | GOLD COAST | TOWNSVILLE)

Experience the best of Australia through our curated events, featuring iconic landmarks and exclusive locations that are otherwise difficult to reach without transportation. Take advantage of a range of subsidized and free excursions in Queensland, Australia! Arcadia Australia presents the Fall 2024 program below—we can't wait for you to join us!

Free events:

WELCOME and farewell MEAL

Let's explore some of the cuisine that Sydney has to offer—why not try a schnitzel or two? That's right, schnitzel is considered an iconic Aussie food. You might initially think it sounds German, and you'd be right, but Australians have certainly embraced it as their own.

Join us for a welcoming dinner two weeks after your arrival in Australia, where we can connect and share experiences. And as your time in Australia comes to a close, we'll gather for a farewell dinner two weeks before you head home, reminiscing about the memories made during your stay.

COFFEE CATCH UP

Throughout the semester, we organise coffee catch-ups to check in on how things are going and ensure we're here to support you. It's a chance to talk about your experiences in Australia and enjoy some quality time together. We understand the importance of tea or coffee to help you stay awake during the semester and can't resist offering it for free.

STRADBROKE ISLAND FREE WEEKEND

North Stradbroke Island, colloquially Straddie, is the second largest sand island in the world
and is quite simply, an island paradise abundant with native wildlife. Always wanted to try
or improve your surf skills? We’ve got that covered, as well as an Aboriginal cultural
workshop facilitated by a traditional custodian of the island; sandboarding; hiking; native
wildlife spotting; time with friends, and more. This free excursion is not to be missed!
