Finding affordable housing in central London is much easier said than done. Fortunately, as an Arcadia student in London you need not worry - you are guaranteed housing in a centrally located area. Your meals are not included so please remember to see budget estimates for additional expenses. You should also visit the general housing information for England.

We have two main housing venues in London, each located on the Tube’s Northern Line and within a public transport commute to class/placement of 30 – 60 minutes (great for London!). Each one has a comfortable, close-knit atmosphere with 24-hour live-in staff and free resident life events. Our London Staff will assign you to the location that will make the most sense for your program:

  • Thoresby House: Straddling the uber trendy areas of Shoreditch and the achingly hip Angel, Thoresby House is surrounded by modern developments and a tranquil canal. You’ll live in a single or larger shared double room, with each floor having its own cooking facilities, communal area and bathrooms. Internet access included via Ethernet.
  • Princess Elizabeth House:  Situated in a prestigious residential area close to Highgate Village, this residence was renovated in 2016/2017 to purposefully create modern student housing. The building is made up of shared flats and studios, with a limited number of single rooms. With all modern fixtures and high speed internet, the commute is worthwhile for the comfortable housing with nearby shops, grocery stores, pubs and restaurants available just a short walk away.

Additional housing is arranged each term as needed and we will aim to provide similar locations and accommodation types to our regular three venues. Please note that while we ensure all housing satisfies general standards, there is no way to guarantee uniformity of apartment and room sizes, distance from university, furnishings or facilities.

Please note that Arcadia housing is available during the semester only. Academic Year students are not eligible to stay in housing during winter break.  Please speak with your Program Manager about alternative arrangements if you wish to stay in London during the winter break.
