Your housing options at Griffith University will depend on the campus you will be attending. Most Arcadia students study at the Gold Coast campus. As you read the information below specific to your campus, please be sure to also review the general Australia housing information.
If you are studying on the Gold Coast campus, you will live at Griffith University Village. Located five minutes’ walk from campus, GUV provides housing for students in modern, fully-furnished apartments. Each apartment houses five students in private bedrooms with a shared living room, two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchenette. A large, communal kitchen is also available for residents. Among the Village's amenities are a café, pool and general store.
If you are attending the suburban Brisbane campus of Nathan you will have the option of living on-campus in a self-catered residential college or in a student apartment in Brisbane and commuting to class (thirty minutes).
Living in a residential college not only provides you the convenience of being close to your classes and other facilities on campus, it also gives you the opportunity to become part of a close-knit community. Colleges offer a range of social events, sports clubs and other organized activities, so you will have the opportunity to meet Australian students. Located on the Nathan campus, Bellenden Ker College provides housing in single bedrooms with separate bathroom facilities for men and women. Students self-cater.
If you prefer a more independent style of housing, you may opt to live with other Arcadia program participants in student apartments in Brisbane, a half hour commute from campus. These self-catered apartments are close to public buses which will bring you to the Nathan and Mt. Gravatt campuses. Each apartment houses five or six students in single bedrooms, complete with private bathrooms and you can prepare your own meals in shared kitchen areas.
