While at Queen’s University, Belfast, you will be housed at Elms BT9 Student Village. 

Elms BT9 is a purpose-built student residence, offering a range of modern, comfortable and secure housing options, only a short walk from the Botanic Gardens and a one hour drive from the iconic world heritage site Giant's Causeway.

You will be housed in dormitory-style apartments with a variety of British, Irish and other visiting students to Queens University. You will have your own bedroom with either a shared bathroom or en-suite facilities.

Elms Village is a self-catered facility, so you will need to prepare and cook your own meals. A number of shops and markets are located within walking distance to purchase your groceries. Additionally, the Elms Village Student Center offers a shop for smaller items, as well as a student bistro and bar.

Self-service laundry facilities are available within the complex, as is Internet access which is available to all residents. Elms Village is a 10 -15-minute walk to campus and many local ‘gathering’ places for students can be found along the way. The city center of Belfast is only a short taxi ride away or a 30-minute walk.

You will be provided with your own duvet (comforter) and bed linen upon your arrival. You are responsible for bringing your towels (we recommend both a hand towel and bath towel), but you can purchase additional linen and towels for a reasonable price in the local shopping center.

Please note, Elms Village provides lifestyle options during the application process. If you are interested in one of the following choices, please note this on your  Arcadia Housing Preference Form. All requests are considered, but cannot be guaranteed. The options include:

• Single Sex (SS) Accommodation: living with the same gender on your floor or house
• No Alcohol (NA) Accommodation: A dry area, where alcohol cannot be consumed by residents or their guests on the premises.
• Quiet Living (QL) Accommodation: For students who prefer a quieter environment.
