Macquarie University Courses

You will enroll in 4 Macquarie courses, or 3 Macquarie courses and an Internship placement and Cornerstone course arranged by Arcadia.

  • Please review your courses with your academic or study abroad advisor to ensure they will transfer back to your home school and that you are following your home school’s policies.

  • Please be flexible – we can’t guarantee specific courses. If your participation in the program depends on a particular course, be sure to make a note on your online course form.

Special Considerations

You have the opportunity to complete an Internship placement and corresponding Internship Cornerstone course with Arcadia. If you select this option, you will take 1 fewer course at Macquarie.

Course Approval

  • Macquarie will review your course form for approval.
  • Your Program Manager will email your approved subjects
    • These are included in your official Macquarie Offer Letter.
  • Macquarie will contact you directly with instructions on how to enroll in your courses online.
    • This will take place approximately two weeks prior to departure.

Enrollment Process

Course approvals will be listed in your online student portal. You will receive an email directly from Macquarie with instructions on how to enroll in your courses and finalize your timetable through your student portal. If you have any difficulties with this process you can seek enrollment assistance during Orientation Week at Macquarie.

Bring an updated copy of your official transcript, your passport and COE with you to final registration orientation.

The online preferences form you submit to Arcadia prior to departure does not guarantee approval or enrollment in those courses. There is a drop/add period at the beginning of each semester that allows students to make changes to course enrollments. If you make any changes it is your responsibility to inform your home institution.

Miscellaneous/Fees

Additional course fees may be associated with some of your overseas course work (i.e. courses that include laboratory work, field excursions or theater trips).
