The housing that Arcadia provides to students at University of Galway provides a unique blend of location, integration, amenities and services, allowing students to experience all of the opportunities available in Galway and at the University.
Arcadia students are housed in on-campus accommodation, primarily in Corrib Village
Students can expect to live within walking distance or a short bus journey to Galway City Center. You can visit the many cultural attractions the city has to offer. You can also take a day trip to one of Ireland’s most famous locations, the Aran Islands
Each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, a shared living area with a television and other modern amenities. Self-service laundry facilities are available within the village with a minimal fee for washer/dryer use. Gym facilities are not available within the housing complex, however there is a gym on campus available at an additional cost.
You should expect to share a bedroom and bathroom facilities. Apartments may be co-ed, but your roommate will be the same gender. All apartments are self-catered, so you should expect cooking for yourself on a daily basis. There are a number of convenient stores and supermarkets located nearby to purchase your groceries.
You will be provided with your own duvet (comforter) and bed linen upon your arrival. You are responsible for bringing your towels (we recommend both a hand towel and bath towel), but you can purchase additional linen and towels for a reasonable price in the local mall.
