General Information for both UAL Residences

- Bed linen is not provided, however, Arcadia will provide information on how to purchase a bedding pack and other incidentals prior to arrival. It is optional, but convenient for students since it will be delivered to your room.

THE COSTUME STORE
The Costume Store is so named as it is built on the site of the BBC’s costume collection located in North Acton in West London. While more of an industrial area, the residence itself sits alongside other modern apartment buildings with nearby independent coffee shops, takeaway shops, and a small supermarket on its doorstep. All rooms are single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. There are 4-9 students per flat sharing kitchen facilities. The Costume Store also offers a common room, art gallery, and a studio workshop within the residence. Journey times from the residence will depend on where you are studying; commute times will range between approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on the college. The nearest tube station to the residence is North Acton, which is located in Zone 2.

GLASSYARD BUILDING
Just a ten-minute walk from trendy Brixton, Glassyard Building’s location offers an authentic London living experience while still accessible to central London. The area is well known for its popular cafes, restaurants, and nightlife. All rooms are single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. There are 4-9 students per flat sharing kitchen facilities. Glassyard Building also offers a courtyard, creative workspace and common room. Journey times from the residence will depend on where you are studying; commute times will range between approximately 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the college. The nearest tube station is Stockwell, which is located in Zone 2.
