As a student on this program, the University of Manchester guarantees you housing in university housing. You’ll have the choice of either catered or self-catered residences. The majority of rooms are single rooms, however, twin shared rooms may be available if specifically requested. All accommodation on this program is either on campus or a short walk away - something you may be grateful for when you’re rolling out of bed and into your lectures. For more information please see the main housing page for England.

Catered Halls of Residence

  • You'll live in a single room which includes a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and shelves.

  • Meals are included at a supplemental cost. You will be given your breakfast and evening meal at the residence and you will have to take care of your own lunch.

  • Some catered residences have a collegiate atmosphere with smaller close-knit communities and an emphasis on student participation in Hall life. Meal arrangements can be informal and some consider mealtimes as more of a social event for their residents.

  • Facilities include small shared kitchens.

Self-Catered Halls of Residence

  • You'll live in a single room in a shared flat or a room along an open corridor. Rooms include a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and shelves
