On this program, you will live in LSE university housing. You’ll settle in and learn to live as a true Londoner. Regardless of which of LSE’s residence halls you are assigned, you should expect a 15-45 minute commute to classes, which is very standard for living in a large city such as London.

When choosing your housing, it may be useful to refer to the map of LSE’s campus and residences—still, it’s best to be flexible and open-minded regarding where you will live!

  • All rooms are wired for internet access, with the option of setting up a phone and voicemail service (an activation fee payable to LSE may be required to use data services).
  • All residence halls are nonsmoking.
  • Pillows, mattresses, and duvets are provided in most residence halls. You will need to provide your own bed linen and towels—we recommend purchasing them upon arrival in the UK.
  • Meal plans are required in catered residences; if you are placed in a catered residence it is not possible to opt out of the meal plan. If you have dietary restrictions or if it's important to you to cook your own meals, please plan to choose a self-catered residence.
  • Laundry facilities and ironing equipment are provided in all residences.

Supplemental housing fees may apply if you are placed in a single room in any residence or if you are placed in a residence with a meal plan.
