The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University's Mediterranean Studies Program is designed for students who wish to focus their studies on Mediterranean Studies by participating in two Arcadia programs in that region (we encourage two different programs in different countries) for either two semesters or semester and summer programs.
It is the first undergraduate academic certificate program of its kind at Arcadia University, and it offers an innovative way to learn about this very important region of the world.
The Mediterranean Studies Program not only draws upon the extensive resources of The College of Global Studies, but is also based on and closely tied to the mission of both The College of Global Studies and Arcadia University.
Students in the Mediterranean Studies Program will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of learning experiences from courses to research, co- and extra-curricular activities. The program is interdisciplinary and global, centered on studies in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences. Students also have the option of concentrating in specific areas ranging from classical studies to environmental studies.
Students are encouraged to participate in at least two of the following Arcadia centers, in two semester programs or a semester and summer program, to complete the Mediterranean studies program:

All coursework must be taken in the programs of The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University. Credit from the program may be applied independently to the student’s home institution according to the policy and procedures of that institution.
Arcadia University, through The College of Global Studies, monitors and determines that the certificate is complete, and it keeps record of certificates earned and issued. The process will be similar to the issuing of official Arcadia University transcripts for study on The College of Global Studies programs. All students, upon completion of their studies, will receive an official Arcadia University transcript.
