Housing is in campus-based flats within five minutes’ walking distance of your classes. Flats consist of single study bedrooms and a dining/kitchen area shared with other students in your flat. This is a great opportunity to socialize and expand your culinary range!

There are three basic room types at the University of Strathclyde. You can indicate your preferences for a standard room, a standard room with a private wash basin, or an en-suite room (private bathroom facilities). Standard rooms will have shared bathroom facilities. Arcadia will provide a link to purchase a bedding pack and other incidentals before arrival.

Since housing is right in the heart of Glasgow, there are lots of places within easy walking distance of the accommodation if you truly don’t feel like cooking.  Effort is made to place students in their first-choice accommodation type, although this cannot be guaranteed.

You must complete and submit a Housing Preferences form as part of your Arcadia application, ranking your options from the list of room types. Please note that you are not guaranteed your top choice and Arcadia cannot influence a decision on where a student is placed.
