Emergency services can be reached by calling the local equivalent of 911. A list of global emergency service numbers is maintained by the Department of State here. For Arcadia Abroad's primary portfolio, these numbers are:
True emergencies require a phone call. Students are provided with a 24/7 local emergency contact to reach Arcadia staff while on our programs. Never delay in calling emergency services, if required, before promptly calling Arcadia Abroad staff.
Support for your student will be faster and more thorough if students contact staff directly. If your student is unable to contact local staff or services and needs urgent assistance, please inform the Global Health and Safety Team. We ask that local emergency contact numbers issued to students remain open for student calls. Loved ones and home universities should reach out to the U.S.-based Global Health and Safety Team for assistance and they will initiate swift contact with staff abroad to assist your student:
