Arcadia and Augsburg announce an agreement to expand access for students to study abroad on social justice-focused programs. The partnership connects Arcadia University’s College of Global Studies and Augsburg’s Center for Global Education and Experience programming through shared outreach and student support.

“This cooperative agreement allows Arcadia to further our deep commitment to providing students with social justice and community engagement programs,” said Andy Law, Executive Director of Arcadia Abroad, “as well as access to teaching, learning, and impacting the world through social justice.”

Augsburg CGEE delivers high-impact, experiential programming in Africa, Europe, and Latin America, with courses designed to learn from communities and groups working for social change to inform thought and action for personal and societal transformation.

Collaborating with Arcadia Abroad is an exciting opportunity for CGEE. Not only does it connect us with one of the oldest and most respected leaders in international education, but it allows us to offer our programs to a substantially wider audience, which expands CGEE's key commitment of student access,” says Patrick Mulvihill, Assistant Provost for Global Education and Experience of Augsburg University.

The partner commences with the availability of two CGEE programs through Arcadia Abroad in Spring 2023: Conflict, Peace & Transition in Northern Ireland, and Decolonizing the Mind: Racial and Environmental Justice in South Africa & Namibia.
