Next week our Fall 2019 program starts and we are excited to meet our new students!
During the semester, they will have the chance to participate in our co-curricular activities! The idea is to show them the local culture while they have fun!
That’s why we want to show you some of the great activities that we have planned for Fall 2019.
On the first night in Barcelona, we will meet all at the Arcadia Center, we’ll have a brief introduction of ourselves and then taste some Spanish dishes at the Welcome Dinner.
We will taste the delicious and typical chocolate con churros.
A panoramic tour of the city on a private bus with an official guide. We’ll discover the most important spots of the city like Passeig de Gracia, Montjüic and Sagrada Família where we’ll get off the bus to take pictures, hear the guide explanations and walk around it.
Squares, restaurants, shops, the first Gaudi’s building. We will explore together one of the most lively and beautiful neighborhoods of Barcelona.
Get to know the oldest garden in Barcelona with a fun labyrinth!
We'll discover one of the most famous and beautiful coastal towns of Catalonia.
We’ll learn how to stretch the muscles and relax by practicing yoga in an open class in Barceloneta. We’ll have the chance to meet new people while doing healthy exercise and having fun!
We have to solve all the puzzles, save the blueprints of the most famous church in the world, and escape the room in less than an hour! An adventure based on real facts and a cultural note!
We’ll watch a Spanish movie at the Arcadia Center. With popcorn of course =)
We’ll visit the Tibidabo hill and see Barcelona from its peak! We’ll also visit the church and take a short elevator trip to see Barcelona and its surrounding area from the highest point.
We invite our students to taste panellets and castanyes to celebrate our traditional Castanyada.
We’ll walk through the World’s largest Art Noveau site which was once a hospital and now has become a museum full of history and beauty.
We’ll take a class with local people and learn how to dance a typical Spanish rhythm!
We will travel back to the 30s to see how citizens of Barcelona protected themselves from the bombings during the Spanish Civil War.
We’ll visit the first museum dedicated to Picasso's work and the only one created during the artist's lifetime. The museum is housed in five adjoining medieval palaces in Barcelona's La Ribera neighborhood, in the Old City.
Our Students can participate in this contest by sending one photograph that reflects their best experience in Barcelona. The best one will receive a prize!
We will create some pinchos at Arcadia Center! The students will show us what they have learned about Spanish pinchos and create new ones! The most original and tasty will have a prize!
We invite our students to taste the traditional Christmas desserts at Catalonia!! They will get energy for the finals exams =)
We’ll visit the most typical Christmas market in Barcelona, located in front of the Gothic Cathedral of the city.
On the last day of class at the center, we will have lunch in a restaurant, toast and remember the best memories and experiences of the semester before saying goodbye.
