A big part of the study abroad experience is understanding what is expected from your written papers. Across the world there are different academic marking schemes so when you arrive in a new country to study, you may need to tweak your writing style. Here at the London Center we recognise this so we run the Writing Center.
Run by our core faculty, Dr. Chris McMillian, Dr. Laurence Scott and Dr. Richard Maguire the Writing Center runs during the week, at varying times. For more details check the Facebook group. The Writing Center operates on a drop in basis, with sessions running for an average of 15 minutes. The sessions are interactive so students attending should be ready to discuss their paper, take notes and write.
It is important to point out that the Writing Center is for all Arcadia students studying across England and Wales. Those that are studying outside London, Skype sessions are available by appointment. Please email london@arcadia.edu for details.
If you have an appointment at the Writing Center in London, please ask at reception for the room details.
Our core faculty look forward to welcoming you to the Writing Center this semester. They are eager to help with any issues you may have with your writing, no matter how big or small you think it is.
If you have any questions about the Writing Center please email london@arcadia.edu.
