For students joining us in the Spring, we are very excited to announce our events that will be on offer to you! We’ve been working hard to select some of the best experiences that we think will be a great introduction to your new home in the UK, from action-packed adventure weekends to theatre trips and city breaks!
Read on below for what we have in store. Event registration opens Tuesday, 3 December at 12 noon (EST) in your Arcadia Passport. And, don’t forget, if an event is full you can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified automatically if more space becomes available.
Please note that all events depart from the Arcadia London Center unless stated otherwise. Students based out of London who intend to travel independently may submit a request for reimbursement of their travel up to £75. However this is not guaranteed as it is subject to group travel bookings in advance of the event.
Hampton Court is one of the most lavish and historic Palaces in London. The previous home of monarchs like King Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and George I, it was a building that rivaled the French Palace of Versailles at its peak. Discover the history of the Great Hall, Haunted Gallery, and the expansive gardens. You’ll have the chance to explore the world’s oldest puzzle maze, watch the deer herd from afar, and even get a chance to admire a 500 year old gown that belonged to Elizabeth I. Price includes: Round trip train ticket, and entry to Hampton Court Palace.
If you’re a fan of the Great British Bake Off, or fancy yourself as a chef in the making, join us for this experience afternoon where you’re challenged to team up with fellow students and bake your way to success in a GBBO themed challenge. With professional bakers leading you through the skills you need to create something amazing, no skill is needed! There will be a prize for the best creation, so live out your Bake Off dreams - you could win star baker!
Price includes: Afternoon baking experience with all ingredients and equipment included.
Join us for a weekend in Wales, and immerse yourself in one of the top two coastal destinations in the world. Enjoy the perfect Wales student weekend away, exploring an unspoilt, breathtaking landscape, amazing wildlife, Welsh castles and cathedral, awesome Atlantic ocean adventures and tasty food and drinks. Kayak into echoing sea caves, explore the smallest city in Britain and its twelfth century cathedral, visit Pembroke castle, surf on wild beautiful beaches, jump off cliffs into deep green pools as you explore by Coasteering, and relax in the evenings in a beautiful 5 star eco lodge. Join us for a guided tour of one of London’s most iconic landmarks. St. Paul’s Cathedral is a Grade I listed building, with the original church being built in 604AD. The dome is one of the tallest in the world, and it is a dominant part of London’s skyline, surviving the bombing of World War Two, and the modernisation of the surrounding city. This event takes place on a Friday afternoon, it is your responsibility to check for any academic clashes.
Price includes: Entry to St. Paul’s Cathedral, and guided tour of the building.
Join us this Spring for an enchanting trip to Paris, the French capital. Known for its art, fashion, gastronomy, and culture, this is not to be missed. Immerse yourself in history, culture, and a new language. We have built in a selection of activities into this trip, but have also built in free time so you can explore at your own pace.
This event departs on a Friday, it is your responsibility to check for any academic clashes. Please also note that it is your responsibility to make the journey to and from the London terminals. Finally, if you wish to participate on this excursion you must be travelling with a Passport that allows you to enter France as a visitor OR already hold a valid Schengen Visa for travel.
Price includes: Round trip train travel to Paris from London, accommodation, breakfast, a group evening meal, a public transport pass, entry to the louvre, a river boat cruise on the Seine, entry to the Eiffel Tour, a walking tour, and free time to explore.
On this day trip, our first stop will be Stonehenge (a World Heritage Site), followed by an afternoon in Bath, a beautiful and historic city dating back to the Roman times later made famous by resident Jane Austen. Check out the Roman Baths, the focal point of the city which has been in place for centuries. You will also get time to shop and explore the town center beforehand. Price includes: Round trip travel by coach from London, entrance to Stonehenge and the Roman Baths.
Daniel Radcliffe, known formerly as The Boy Who Lived in all 8 Harry Potter films, makes a return to London’s West End in Endgame this season. Also starring Alan Cummings, Endgame, written by Samuel Beckett, tells the story of an old blind man and his servant. This bittersweet comedy is set to storm the 2020 Olivier Awards, and will be treat for all thespians!

You may have had the chance to visit Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in the US, but we are giving you the chance this Spring to visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, the home of Harry Potter. See the real sets that were used in the 8 films, the costumes, the props, and get the chance to admire the world of Harry Potter for real. The Studio Tour also includes the chance to try Butterbeer, try a broomstick, and walk in Harry’s footsteps down Diagon Alley itself.
Price includes: Round trip travel from London to the Studio, and entry to the Studio tour.
