Excursions are an integral part of Webster Athens. Students have an opportunity to learn first-hand about the history, culture, and landscape of Greece.

Some examples:

Mycenea

UNESCO World Heritage site and a look into Bronze Age Greece. Home of the Agamemnon from the Trojan War and the iconic Lion Gate and the massive Cyclopean walls.

Epidavros

Visit the remarkable remains of 4th-century BC Greek theatre, learning about the archeology and history of Greek theater.

Meteora

Towering rock formations jutting out from Central Greece topped by 14th-century Eastern Orthodox monasteries. The landscape helped to shape the people while the people shaped the landscape themselves.

Monemvasia

Nestled deep in the Peloponnese along Aegean Sea, a pedestrian only town with picturesque seascapes, beaches, scenic architecture and Byzantine churches.

Sparti-Mystras

The remains of the ancient city-state of Sparta, acclaimed for its military might and key role in Ancient Greek history. Today the landscape is covered is olive grove, panoramic views, and breathtaking scenery 

Delphi

Believed by the Ancient Greeks to be the center of the world and home to the Oracle of Delphia, it has long been a place of importance in Greek culture.  Ruins and remains of ancient times stand as a testament to the past.

During orientation, students will receive a list of excursions that will highlight the trips planned for the semester.
