Teodora Larocca joined Arcadia University in 2007, contributing to our Italy Programs in a myriad of ways. She is responsible for academic program development, setting standards of good practice across the board in all of our Italy Programs and communicates effectively those standards to our partner institutions in the US.
Teodora - originally from the Apennine mountains in the region of Basilicata, in the southern reaches of Italy - earned her degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the Università degli Studi della Basilicata and her Master’s degree in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language from the Università degli Studi di Padova.
Prior to joining Arcadia, she lived in Brussels and Czech Republic teaching at the Italian Cultural Institute of Prague. She has also taught Italian for foreigners at the Università degli Studi di Bologna and Università degli Studi di Parma and continues to teach at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo at the Università degli Studi Roma Tre. In addition, Teodora was assistant librarian, at the Università degli Studi di Bologna where she gained invaluable experience in reference service and bibliographical assistance, including collection management, research methods, cataloguing and classification.
At The College of Global Studies in Italy, Dora brings enthusiasm, professionalism and expertise to every area of our programming and shares her insights and good humour with students during excursions and events
