John Bennett is originally from Greenville, South Carolina; the Foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. He completed an MA (Hons) in Arabic and Middle East Studies at the University of St Andrews in 2006 and then continued his studies by undertaking an MA in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. After graduation, he took up the position of Assistant Director of Middle East Studies at Greenville Technical College back in his home state of South Carolina. Near the end of John’s time in the US, he took on the role of International Student Coordinator where he was responsible for providing the academic and cultural orientation for international students joining the college; a role which allowed him to pursue his passion in international education.
John joined Arcadia’s Scottish office in November 2012 and is excited about working with Arcadia study abroad students in Scotland; the country where he first fell in love with global study.
